AI-Matters
AI-MATTERS is a European network of testing and experimentation facilities, created to strengthen the resilience and flexibility of the European manufacturing sector. The project leverages the latest advances in artificial intelligence, robotics, and intelligent, autonomous systems as applied to flexible manufacturing.
What does AI-MATTERS offer?
Our offer
We provide testing and experimentation facilities and infrastructure to validate and demonstrate new concepts and technologies in a real production setting.
We propose tailored services in which infrastructure, technologies, expertise, and data are networked to address specific use cases through collaborative experimentation.
To whom we address
Technology companies that want to test their artificial intelligence solutions in real production environments, and evolve them through feedback gathered in the field.
Manufacturing companies interested in experimenting with AI-based solutions to evaluate their effectiveness and impact before investing in large-scale implementation.
Our focus is particularly on start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs, but large companies can also participate.

✓ A proof of concept (with accompanying report) as an outcome of the experimentation

How we enable collaborative testing and experimentation:
AI-MATTERS offers several approaches to facilitate collaborative testing and experimentation, thanks to its test and experimentation facilities (TEFs) distributed throughout Europe.
We collaborate with companies and partners to:
Test technological solutions on real production facilities, inside our laboratories
Create use cases and generate data with direct involvement of manufacturing end users to improve and validate technologies
Carry out collaborative experiments between technology providers and manufacturing companies, with the aim of fostering effective adoption of solutions
AI-MATTERS focuses on applied research, with activities such as:

AI-MATTERS offers a range of services aimed at addressing the main challenges related to the integration of artificial intelligence in the manufacturing industry. The focus is particularly on factory-level process optimization, human-robot interaction, circular economy, and sustainability issues. We also offer accompaniment on other emerging areas and enabling technologies, en constant evolution.
